VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Necropsies of Sawfish

Tonya Wiley, from Havenworth Conservation (Smalltooth Sawfish) is looking for volunteers to help assist with necropsies of sawfish that are being brought into the FWC research center in Charlotte Harbor.  As you probably are aware, there is an ongoing crisis with some fish in Florida, especially sawfish.

There is one necropsy today (Wednesday) around noon.

Anyone interested can email tonya@havenworth.org and she will get them put on the volunteer list.  Tonya said that it would be tremendous to have an army of volunteers in Charlotte Harbor on call to help with necropsies when carcasses are coming in.

Please let me know if you need Tonya’s number or more information.
