Friday Night Socials             
This recurring event, started three years ago, has been a big hit.  Second Friday at Five parties are scheduled for the second Friday of each month, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.  Please bring an hors d'oeuvre or light food to share and your own beverages.  It is a great time to talk to members of our great community - Cape Haze.  And guests are always welcome.

We'll gather for our traditional "Welcome To the Season" party following the Fall Membership Meeting.  The party should begin around 6:00 PM and this year we will have a "Tailgating" theme.  Bring your own beverage for the social hour and then enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Buffalo Bill's Catering of Venice.  Our menu will include oak-smoked pulled pork with dipping sauce, Buffalo wings, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw and dessert.  Cost per person is $14.00 and reservations are required.  Contact Hilary Dahms, 828-0447, or Barbara Hanson, 828-7447, for details. 

Holiday Lights and Boat Parade                                                   Saturday, December 12, 2009
Cape Haze boat owners are invited to decorate their boats and join the Gasparilla Marina flotilla to parade up and down the Cape Haze waterfront.  There will be a party following the parade at the Waterside Grille at Gasparilla Marina.  All residents are invited to participate.  Those without boats are invited to ride along as passengers on parade boats or view the parade from convenient waterfront sites.  If it rains on Saturday, the boat parade will be scheduled for the following night: Sunday, December 13th.  Contact Karen Irvine, 697-8883, for details.
