Cape Haze Neighborhood and Marine
Watch Programs
Cape Haze is viewed as an upscale area and thus a potential target
for thieves. While the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO)
and its hard working deputies are doing a great job, they can use
additional support from the citizens of Cape Haze. To that
end, Cape Haze has implemented a Community Watch program.
Our Community Watch program has two active
components. One, our Neighborhood Watch program, provides for
patrolling the streets of Cape Haze on a routine basis. The
other, our Marine Watch program, supplies the same patrol service to
the waterways of our community. Together, these programs allow
us to see, be seen, observe and report on suspicious activities.
Further, we can provide data and intelligence to our deputies that
might aid them in their activities protecting us.
The Neighborhood Watch and Marine Watch programs
are staffed completely by Cape Haze residents volunteering their
time and energies for the benefit of us all. If you would like
to contribute your time to one or both of these efforts, please
contact one of the CHPOA members listed below.
