Cape Haze Community Center Usage
Policy Effective February 10, 2011
1. The Community Center (and related amenities),
hereafter sometimes referred to as “the property”, is available
only to full members of CHPOA, hereafter “the booking member”.
2. Usage must be booked in advance with designated
individual in charge of the Community Center schedule (see Contact
Info, Scheduling).
A damage deposit of a check for $100.00 will be left
with the individual in charge of the Community Center schedule when
the booking member reserves the Community Center.
CHPOA sponsored groups, i.e., CHPOA meetings or The
Women’s Club meetings and events, will be exempt from the damage
deposit.
Following a scheduled event, assuming the Community
Center is returned to the same condition as it was prior to the
event, the deposit check may be picked up by the booking member.
Groups using the Community Center on a recurring
basis, will maintain a $100.00 damage deposit on file. Therefore,
if any repair and/or clean-up is necessary following any one of the
Group’s meetings, cost of these repairs and/or clean up will be
deducted from the current $100.00 deposit. An additional dollar
amount will be expected to maintain the damage deposit on file at
$100.00. The Group or booking member will also be expected to
reimburse CHPOA for costs incurred beyond $100.00.
3. No one under the age of 21 may use the Community
Center without full time, on site supervision by the booking member.
4. The booking member, by booking and/or using the
Community Center or allowing its use acknowledges full and complete
personal responsibility for all activities in connection with the
usage of the property including, but not limited to:
a. The conduct of all personnel using the
property.
b. Returning the property to the condition in which
it was found. When booking the Community Center, the booking member
will receive a list of Clean Up expectations. This list will also
be posted in the Community Center. Failure to receive the Clean Up
expectation list does not excuse the booking member from compliance
with Clean Up expectations.
c. Prompt and complete repair of any damage or
misfeasance to the property resulting from the usage of the
property.
d. Removal of all trash from within the Community
Center and its placement within the outdoor receptacles provided.
5. And further, the booking member, its successors
and assigns, by using the property agrees to hold harmless CHPOA,
its officers, directors, members and employees from any injuries,
loss or damage they or any user may sustain while using the
property.
